O.K so your diet and nutrition is up to scratch and you want to start with your weight training routine? If not first get your diet in order! People go about it all wrong when starting with their weight training routines.

Always remember that enough rest and recovery are two essential parts of your progress. Lets face it, everyone of us has made this all too common mistake especially as newbies so take your time and work hard at your weight traing routines!

Last but not least you could be messing about with a lot of variety and combinations that don`t realy work with your goal of gaining strenght in your routine. Allow me to demonstrate: you are doing variations of the same routine just at a different tempo, more or less reps in diferent sets without gaining the actual weight.
Increasing the weight in your training routine should be your primary goal because the all to common fact is that increased weight increases your overall strenghth.
Remember don`t forget your primary goal here, and that is to get stronger!
